Voices from everywhere come into my direction recently. I can't help writing down some echoes in my heart.
First comes the voice of my grandma, who is writing her memoir these days. We suggest her do so in case she was bored since grandpa's departure really gave her a big blow. What we hadn't expected was that this activity seems to have brought grandma more sorrow. The miserable childhood, the harships in the army, the misunderstanding from her family... all the mishaps she had gone through, now she had to taste them all over again. I'd better remind her of the pride and the happiness she had ever enjoyed when I'm home for winter vacation.
Then there are voices from my friends in the art workshop. Aged from 17 to 27, they are not only my teachers, but more importantly my sources of experiences. Through chatting with them my experiences, both material and emotional, are enriched. Thanks to them, I can see life I can never lead.
Voices also come from the virtual world--the Internet. Some guys on Skype are cute. I talked to a Yemen businessman who work in gz today and I hesitated when he asked me for mobile number. He appeared a little annoyed yet still quite understanding. These strangers at least taught me one thing, Most of time, most of us are in the state between bored and lonely. It has nothing to do with how much work we got at hand. Yet the best way to expel this feeling is not relying on virtual communications.
