No more lost

It's a romantic movie, Lost in Translation. When Bob watches charllote entering the elevator, I knew that won't be all. This is never a really goodbye. No way! Once again when he spots her in the crowd, I would like thank the director so much for not letting Bob mistake others for Charllote. He owns her a kiss. And at last I, an ordinary one among the audience, appreciate his truthfulness.
I've imagine more than once that what's gonna happen if I am in a totally strange country--strange people, strange streets, strange language, strange culture, strange every single tiny leaf--what shall I do?
My answer to this question was that I will start looking for something familiar first. Human societies, no matter how different, must have something in common. I used to think that I might be pretty excited about being alone in a strange place because it would be like kind of 'renaissance', I could start everything all over again. But now, I changed my mind. I'd rather search for SOMEONE I'm familiar with. I suppose that Bob and Charllote both got lost in Tokyo is a significant reason why they started liking each other. When you find there is another person awaken at 4:00 am apart from yourself, you'll develop an undeniable impulse of getting closer.
However, looking into the familiarity is just the first step we look for companionship. Our gene is going to be keen on searching for complement. Like our noses can sense immune systems distinct from our own, we are almost equipped with an instinct of pursuing completeness of life. Yes, that's what I want to say, ANOTHER HALF. Both of you are arcs, not triangle, not straight lines, but arcs. And then you learn to construct a perfect round. During this process, you know yourself better. Just like what Bob proposed, 'the more you know who your are and what you want, the less things upset you'.
Realistically speaking, the story does not have a happy ending. (What is a 'happy ending' after all...) Life goes on. What did Bob whisper to Charllote in her ear? Was it a promise? A date? She burst into tears and said 'OK' with a smile. He waved her goodbye and grinned. Is this the end of a beginning? Back in the U.S.A. and the they both should wake up. Bob will be hurrying for his daughter's ballet performance and John will be coming to tell how much he missed his pregnant wife. Days will be 'back to normal' anyway. This warm feeling, becomes part of the journey.
Therefore I learned to be grateful. Be grateful for every person appeared in my life, be grateful for all the happiness, the sadness, the joy, and the pain they brought to me, be grateful for the knowledge and experiences they shared with me. Thank you for the companionship, though eventually I must accomplish the travel in this world by my own.

You remind me of Aristofanes, who said that men were shaped into "balls" originally and each ball has two heads, two pairs of hands and two pairs of legs.He recounted that their bodies were too powerful so that Zeus decided to separate every ball into two parts. In the aftermath of the saperation, people began to find another part they have just lost. And they have been searching heretofore.
And I found something interesting about this 'seperation theory' other than wiki:
